The Tahoe Transportation District’s (TTD) site assessment process for a transit mobility hub in Incline Village has been underway for months. TTD’s Incline Village Mobility Committee has received considerable input and complaints regarding the public process and that message has been heard loud and clear. The committee has not been satisfied with the process in achieving the goals of engaging a broad spectrum of the community to share information and get input, so TTD is pausing and will re-tool the process to complete the site assessment and selection process.
This pause includes a hold on further committee meetings to allow more time to evaluate identified sites, work with potential partners, and adjust the outreach process to fulfill the vision. At this time, there will not be an open house or committee meetings scheduled for September or October. The change to the schedule and process will be presented and discussed at the October 16 TTD Board meeting.
The board approved , TTD’s recommendation to suspend the IVM committee meetings and postpone the October 2023 Open House, while evaluating an adjustment to the outreach process in effort to complete the site selection.
